We’re halfway through the season in German Bundesliga which is turning to be quite an eventful competition this year.

As one of Europe’s most popular competition, Bundesliga is generating plenty of attention across the continent.

The current season has thus far produced some brilliant but also funny and strange moments, especially when it comes to goalkeeping bloopers.

Top ten of those can be seen in this great compilation produced by Bundesliga’s official channel.

Early struggles of 2010 should give Spain encouragement in Russia

It is tempting to look back at Spain s 2010 World Cup triumph and remember only the final the glorious victory of brain over brawn, of elegance over Dutch brutality.

Andres Iniesta wrote his name in Spanish folklore with the extra-time winner, granting him eternal reverence, and applause at every ground he subsequently visited with Barcelona.

In addition to Iniesta, Vicente del Bosque was able to call on the rugged Carles Puyol in defence, the midfield artistry of Xavi and Xabi Alonso and the predatory instincts of David Villa and Fernando Torres.

A team so good you d imagine they breezed through the group stage with the minimum of fuss.

Not so. Indeed, their early travails in South Africa bear a striking similarity to Spain s struggles in advancing …

Chargers vs 49ers SNF Prop Bets: A Striking Price on the League's Touchdown King

Coming out of the bye, the San Francisco 49ers are healthy and looking to play with all of their offensive pieces for the first time when they host the Los Angeles Chargers as 7-point favorites Sunday night.

The prop markets opened late on this game but there are still plenty of places to find some value, including the Chargers’ receivers, an Under on a San Francisco pass-catcher, and the best price of the season on a heavy-usage running back.

Pittsburgh Steelers Predictions, Picks, Odds & Season Preview for 2024-25: Offensive Woes

The Pittsburgh Steelers answered their offseason questions with more questions. What is this, a presidential debate?

The franchise replaced much-maligned offensive coordinator Matt Canada with Arthur Smith, fresh from a forgettable stint in Atlanta, and tried to solve their continuing post-Roethlisberger woes with Russell Wilson and Justin Fields — two QBs who got run out of their starting jobs.

Those uncertainties have the Steelers on track for Mike Tomlin’s first losing season, at least that’s what the NFL odds think. Pittsburgh is a favorite in only six games and the season win total sits on the fence at 8.5 with a lean to the Under.

Life in the AFC North and a 2024 schedule that ranks among the toughest in the league are helping an…

Bayern: Lewandowski likely to join in 2014

Bayern Munich chairman Karl-Heinz Rummenigge has hinted at Robert Lewandowski joining the club on a free transfer at the end of the season.

Lewandowski – who scored 36 goals in 49 comptetitive appearances for Dortmund last season – has been regularly linked with a switch to UEFA Champions League winners Bayern in recent months.

Bayern, who also won the Bundesliga title last season and the DFB Pokal in a historic treble, have failed to land their man though, with the 24-year-old now likely to remain at his club until his contract expires in a year s time.

Dortmund have already lost star midfielder Mario Goetze to Bayern this year and they are refusing to do business with the Bavarians in a bid to keep their own title aspirations alive.

When quizzed about the p…

De la Fuente: Yamal must adapt to ´reality´ of heavy treatment at Euro 2024

Lamine Yamal must appreciate the reality of rough treatment by opponents at Euro 2024, so says Spain head coach Luis de la Fuente, ahead of Tuesday s last-four meeting with France.

The 16-year-old has impressed for La Roja in Germany, assisting three goals as Spain have won all five of their matches at the tournament.

No Spanish player has ever registered more assists at a single European Championship tournament, while Yamal has created 14 chances – the most at a major competition for Spain since Xavi s 25 at Euro 2012.

Yet Spain have been somewhat frustrated by tactics from the opposition to stop Yamal and wing partner Nico Williams, with repeated calls for more protection of their players.

Yamal has only won four free-kicks at this tournament, however…
